Burdens, the civil engineering products and construction materials supplier, has been placed into administration.
The company, which has 20 operating centres across the UK and an O-licence to run up 127 vehicles plus trailers, is in the hands of administrator Duff & Phelps.
“We will continue to trade the company as a going concern whilst we continue discussions with those parties interested in acquiring some, or all of the remaining branches,” said administrator Philip Duffy.
WTB Trading, the main trading arm of Burdens, is also in administration with Duff & Phelps. Last month 22 of Burdens branches were sold to Wolseley.
