A "buoyant" UK logistics market helped Norbert Dentressangle (ND) boost overall third quarter 2012 revenue by 10% to €2.9bn.
Turnover growth was reported across all three of ND's business divisions, with much of this down to the acquisition of new business.
Logistics revenue for Q3 2012 increased 6.4% compared to Q3 2011, with like-for-like income up 2%. Year-to-date, logistics division revenue is 13.7% ahead at €1.3bn (2011: €1.15bn).
Transport operations fared less well in Q3, with revenue down 0.1% to €503m due in part to tough trading conditions in Europe. For the first nine months of the year transport revenue remains 5.1% ahead of last year at €1.5bn (although on a like-for-like basis this is 1.6% lower than 2011).
