Palletforce FLT

Palletforce has delivered 50 million pallets of freight since its launch in 2001, the network announced this week.

The business, which has 110 members and 15,000 daily customers, attributed the 50 million pallets milestone to investment across the Palletforce network, its Burton-on-Trent super hub, state-of-the-art technology and support from its members.

Mark Tapper, Palletforce chief operating officer, said: “The continued success of the Palletforce network is due to the expertise and operational acumen of our member businesses and our combined ability to react and innovate.

He added that the network delivers “a quality service that’s trusted by thousands of SME businesses - the beating heart of the UK economy - as a cost-effective and sustainable solution to connect business and get products to market.

“Reaching the milestone figure of 50 million pallets is a fantastic achievement, but it is a testament to the hard work, professionalism and expertise of our members.”

Palletforce was launched on 31 August 2001 at a former aircraft hangar at Fradley Park, Lichfield, where the fledgling company handled 524 pallets of freight from an initial 36 founding members on its first night.

The company, which is now part of global logistics and technology provider EV Cargo, operates from a central super hub in Burton upon Trent, delivering five million pallets a year.

Tapper praised its members for their “relentless efforts to deliver unwavering customer service and exceptional delivery performance”, adding that the network has taken on another six new members this year and plans to continue focusing on delivering “unrivalled service quality, strengthening our membership and leveraging the innovative technological advances our IT team has been making”.
