For more than 35 years, the Motor Transport Awards have been seen as a benchmark for excellence among UK road transport fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers and innovators.
Despite the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic passing in 2021, it was still an incredibly tough year for hauliers, with driver shortages seeing wages spiral and vehicle scarcity meaning even those operators with drivers often didn’t have a truck to put them in.
But, as ever, transport and logistics found a way to keep on delivering the goods for UK plc, coping with the accelerated shift from bricks and mortar retail to home delivery that shows no sign of slowing.
The Motor Transport Awards are all about recognising excellence and it has never been more important to reward the huge achievements of the people and companies which went the extra mile in 2021.
