Bumble Hole Foods, an egg products supplier to blue-chip customers, has celebrated its 60th anniversary by shelling out on two new Iveco S-Way trucks.

The family-run business, based on the outskirts of Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, said it was also developing a warehouse for chilled, frozen and ambient products, which is expected to be up and running within 18 months.

The company is led by Andrew Hewston who has run the business for 25 years, and his sister Sharon Jones, but it began in 1961 when their grandfather William started selling eggs at the bottom of his garden.

It now employs 90 staff.

MD Hewston said: “To celebrate our 60th anniversary the two trucks have been named after our parents, our dad David who passed away last year, and mum Maureen, who is still involved in the business today.”

The trucks were supplied by Hexagon Leasing.
