UK manufacturer Tevva has revealed its latest vehicle – the all-electric 7.5 tonne Tevva Truck – at the Freight in the City Expo today (28 September) in London. MT Awards 2020: Pioneering on electric vehicles takes DPD to Clean Fleet Van Operator of the Year award
In line with its wider urban delivery strategy, parcels firm DPD is aiming to build an all-electric fleet in “double-quick” time. By the end of 2020 it planned for more than 600 vehicles, around 10% of its fleet, to be fully electric – up from 147 by the end of 2019. The total EV fleet is now 730 vehicles.
DAF Trucks used ITT Hub to showcase its full line up of electric vehicles including the LF Electric 4×2 rigid and CF Electric 6×2 rigid and 4×2 tractor units. Also on show for the first time in the UK was the New Generation DAF XG+ top of the range Super Space replacement cab over a 13-litre 530hp engine.
Calor will be exhibiting at this year’s Freight in the City Expo, promoting its alternative fuel offering for freight operators looking to meet the ambitions of the government’s Road to Zero strategy.
