Moody Logistics urges transport secretary to resolve licensing and testing delays to ease driver shortage crisis
The boss of haulage firm Moody Logistics has written to transport secretary Grant Shapps asking for urgent action to tackle the huge shortage of qualified HGV drivers.
The transport secretary said it was “entirely wrong” that smart motorways were introduced without the right technology to make them safe, but he has ruled out scrapping them.
