Freshlinc has become one of the first UK operators to place a major order for DAF Trucks’ new generation XFs. The Spalding-based temperature-controlled operator will take delivery of 40 480 6×2 tractor units, with FTG mid-lift axle configuration, from the end of the year. Drinks wholesaler Matthew Clark has taken delivery of 13 custom-built Dafs from its vehicle supplier Ryder, in a bid to increase the load capacity of its 190-strong fleet and further improve operational efficiency.
DAF Trucks used ITT Hub to showcase its full line up of electric vehicles including the LF Electric 4×2 rigid and CF Electric 6×2 rigid and 4×2 tractor units. Also on show for the first time in the UK was the New Generation DAF XG+ top of the range Super Space replacement cab over a 13-litre 530hp engine.
