Fowler Welch has announced an agreement to take over Evesham-based AIM Logistics from today (4 May 2021) for an undisclosed sum. The terms of the agreement, including consideration, were also undisclosed. AIM Logistics specialises in the distribution of temperature-controlled products to retailers across the UK. Pharmaceutical giant Alliance Boots has taken full ownership of Derbyshire-based healthcare logistics firm UniDrug Distribution Group (UDG).
FMCG specialist Fowler Welch has ordered 130 MAN TGXs, in a deal that will see around one-third of its three year-old Volvo fleet replaced. Included in the predominantly Euro-5 order are five Euro-6 tractors with the same specification. These will be run as part of a wider trial to assess comparative performance and cost-efficiencies.
