Michael Chambers has taken on the role of new chief executive at logistics firm Gist following the retirement of Martin Gwynn. Chambers takes over after 26 years with the company, which specialises in contract logistics, temperature controlled logistics and international and food services. Eddie Stobart is facing a third strike by its drivers based at Tesco’s Doncaster DC. Although the operator and Unite had been in talks via Acas in a bid to resolve the long-running jobs dispute, efforts to find a way forward have failed.
