Triangle Management Services has compiled the 2020 edition of the UK Domestic Express Parcel Carriers Digest.

The publication is designed to be a handy compendium of the UK express parcel industry, examining the 15 key UK carriers that offer a national parcel delivery service throughout the UK.

The carriers included are: APC Overnight; DHL Parcel UK; DPD; DPD Local; DX Freight; FedEx UK; Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA); Hermes; Parcelforce Worldwide; Royal Mail; TNT Express; Tuffnells; UPS and Yodel.

An estimated 2.6bn items were handled in the UK in 2019 generating approximately £10bn in revenues. The digest dissects the sector and how each carrier has performed in a year shaped by the global pandemic.

The research explores how Covid-19 has affected postal operators consumer purchasing behaviour and highlights carrier strategies and investment levels. It also looks into the growth of e-commerce, which has seen domestic volumes thrive whilst international traffic has suffered amid closed borders and other factors.

Other highlights include the latest trends and developments in alternative delivery solutions, green initiatives and investment in IT and technology.
