Haulage operator EFS Global has become the latest company to join pallet network Palletways. The Burnley-based company was founded in 1996 and employs around 325 members of staff across nine depots in Burnley, Manchester, Skipton, Bradford, Preston, Tamworth, Immingham, Bromborough and Liverpool. It has a fleet of more than 200 vehicles handling single pallet loads to large-scale consignments and covers selected postcodes in Burnley, Colne, Nelson, Clitheroe, Oldham and surrounding areas. Palletways Bristol has invested £8,000 in five new electric pump trucks as demand for tail lift deliveries continues to grow.
Walkers Transport has been appointed main haulier for SD Parr in a deal that will see it move around 2,000 pallets per year for the glaced fruits and bakery products distributor. Leeds-based Walkers secured the contract with Barnsley-based SD Parr after a competitive tender and will be responsible for storing and delivering SD Parr’s products throughout the country.
