The indoor exhibition area at next week’s Quiet Cities global summit will feature examples of a wide range of products that enable urban and out-of-hours deliveries to be made.
Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed three new out-of-hours delivery trials are to start in London, after signing a deal with an external consultancy to manage and assess them.
Martin Brower, which handles McDonalds’ logistics in the UK, has a target of reducing its fossil fuel usage by 80% by 2020, and believes its use of biodiesel – based on waste product from the restaurants it delivers to – will help it hit that target.
