Landbridge Logistics has stepped in to take over some of Surfair Global Logistics’ contracts after the company’s voluntary liquidation this week, Motortransport.co.uk has learnt.
Ex-Widdowson Logistics staff retained at a successor company based on the same site as the collapsed haulier are apparently being paid by Birds Transport Leicester.
The collapse of Surfair Global Logistics has left more than 80 unsecured creditors facing losses amounting to over £1.1m, according to a report by the firm’s administrator Milner Boardman & Partners.
