DPD Group is rebranding its B2B-focused Interlink Express to improve brand consistency within the UK. From 6 February, Interlink will become DPD Local. TNT Express chief executive Marie-Christine Lombard has resigned, ahead of the parcel company’s acquisition by UPS. Chief financial officer (CFO) Bernard Bot will take over her position as interim CEO at the end of September, when Lombard leaves the company to pursue another career. “It is regrettable that Marie-Christine has decided to leave TNT Express now. Price increases and a rise in parcel volumes have contributed to Royal Mail Group’s continuing rise in annual profit and turnover, the firm said today.
TNT Express has confirmed that the European Commission has temporarily suspended a merger bid with rival postal company UPS.
