Amazon has almost doubled the number of London postcodes its Amazon Fresh service is available in, less than a month after it began offering fresh grocery delivery in the city.
The internet retailer launched the service, which allows Amazon Prime members to shop for ambient, chilled and frozen goods, to 69 postcodes across central and East London last month.
This has now been extended to 128 London postcode areas in the north, south and east of the city.
Vice president of Amazon Fresh, Ajay Kavan, said: “The initial response we have received from customers in the capital has been very positive.”
He added: “We are honing and improving our offer based on customer feedback and will continue to do so as we open up the service to an even greater number of Londoners.”
According to Amazon, Fresh deliveries are "carried out by third-party delivery companies via Amazon Logistics”.
