Boughey Distribution has seen turnover and profit boosted in the past six months following the consolidation of its Deeside operation into its site at Wardle, Greater Manchester. Despite new business wins and growth in average storage volumes, turnover at Boughey Distribution remained flat last year.
The promise of a solid first half in its financial year did little to improve investor confidence in Stobart Group – because investors were already ahead of the curve. On 17 April it was trading at a year low of 76.5pence per share. Today its at its year high of 109.5p – proving that investors have faith in the direction Andrew Tinkler is taking the company.
Customers stockpiling for the UK’s original departure date from the EU drove Boughey Distribution to record a leap in turnover and operating profit in the year to 31 May 2019.
