Seafield Logistics has opened a new Immingham hub to store sodium carbonate imported from the US by customer Tata Chemicals Europe.
The new warehouse holds 60,000 tonnes of sodium carbonate (soda ash) - a powerdy white salt used in glassmaking - which Seafield distributes to Tata's customers in the East of the country.
An additional 10 driver positions have been created with the expansion, with more jobs created throughout 2014.
In March last year, chemicals giant Tata extended its contract with Seafield for a further three years.
