Knights of Old has entered into partnership with German operator Transland Spedition, which will allow it to offer daily departures to all European capitals.
The Kettering-based operator believes the deal will help it accommodate its existing business in the Hesse region of Germany, and offer quicker transport times for German distribution.
Transland, which is part of the Zufall Logistics Group, will use Knights of Old’s network for transport across the UK and Ireland.
Alongside domestic German transport, Transland also offers groupage across the Continent, and over 750,000 ft² of warehousing.

Transland Spedition’s internal director Meik Hilk said: ’We are delighted to have teamed up with Knights of Old, who we are sure will prove to be excellent partners.“
Partnerlink, the network which Knights of Old is a major shareholder, recently launched Partnerlink Europe which covers transport to France, Italy, Ireland, Spain, and Austria. Transland, however, it's not a Partnerlink Europe member.
A spokeswoman for Knights of Old also confirmed that its partnership with Polish haulier Pekaes, launched last year, is also going well, and the firms have seen an increase in volumes.
