Pallet-Track member Bartrums is celebrating its relationship with electrical cable firm Goldwing Cable, which sparked up 20 years ago when the network first launched.

The two Suffolk businesses get on so well that the Eye haulier now delivers more than double the number of palletised shipments for Goldwing Cable compared to just 10 years ago.

Goldwing distributes its electrical cables for the industrial, commercial and transportation sectors across the UK and Europe, including direct to site.

Bartrums said central to its success was having full tracking on all pallets, as well as the rapport that has developed between staff from both companies.

Robert Bartrum, MD at The Bartrum Group, said: “We deliver palletised orders for Goldwing Cable on a daily basis and they are a customer you would love to have.

“Over 20 years, we’ve come to know each other very well and I believe we provide the same high-level of service today as we did when we first won their business in 2004.

“It’s also great to see two businesses from Suffolk fly the flag for East Anglia and I look forward to working with Goldwing Cables for at least another 20 years to come.”

Steve Hines, warehouse manager at Goldwing Cable, said: “I work on a daily basis with the drivers from Bartrums and they are great.

“We do have certain demands, but they will always do anything to help us, such as drivers are more than happy to wait past their collection time.”
