A management shake-up at two-man delivery specialist ArrowXL has seen Peter Scraton, previously the firm’s people director, promoted to operations director.
The restructuring also sees chief information officer James Robbins take over responsibility for the customer contact centre at the Wigan-based firm.
Chief financial officer Paul Cullingford, the former Bibby CFO who joined ArrowXL in February this year, will assume responsibility for procurement.
This is the second stage of a major restructuring at the firm. In October last year Charlie Shiels, who joined ArrowXL from DPD in January 2017, was promoted from operations director to interim chief executive officer after Ian Howell stepped down from the business.
In August the company also made a number of changes to its senior operations team, taking on Neil McEvoy who left DPD to take up the role of head of central operations and promoting Dave Shurvinton to head of operations in England and Luke Barton to general manager at Droitwich.

Shiels, who has since been confirmed as chief executive of ArrowXL, said: “I have absolute confidence that Peter will continue to drive further operational improvements.
"We remain focused on creating a world-class logistics business and we will continue to drive forward with our ambitious plans.”
In its most recent annual results to 30 June 2017 ArrowXL posted record pre-tax profit of £2.9m, up from £2.6m in the previous year.
