Flooring manufacturer Ardex has renewed its distribution contract with Welch’s Transport for another three years.The firm has extended its original two year contract until December 2015 in a £2m deal. The contract is currently run out of Welch’s depot in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire.
Welch has invested in two new Ardex-liveried Renault Premiums to pull its new trailers, also in the manufacturer’s livery, expanding its previous dedicated fleet of one 18-tonne rigid and two tractor units.
Welch’s Transport MD Jim Welch said: “The opportunity to work with Ardex is approached with the same enthusiastic philosophy my team applies to all customers, namely, to aim for perfect service and develop a strong relationship so that we can make a positive difference for the customer’s customers.”
Ardex UK operations director Paul Goldspink said: “Due to Welch’s Transport’s first class service levels over the past two years which have delivered consistently our highest ever “On Time In Full” performance, it was a very easy decision to continue working with such anoutstanding team of caring professionals.”
