Plans for two 40-metre high warehouse units at Chatterley Park in Stoke-on-Trent have been lodged, which are intended to support automation solutions according to its developer.

Harworth Group said it had secured reserved matters planning consent for the developments and it would be one of the few industrial and logistics sites in the country that could offer units of this height and flexibility.

Units A & B will comprise a total of 777,700sq ft of Grade A space and Harworth said they’d been sensitively designed to integrate within the surrounding landscape.

Once complete, Chatterley Park, adjacent to the A500 and one mile from junction 16 of the M6, is expected to deliver 1.2 million sq ft of high-quality space and support approximately 1,700 new jobs.

Stuart Murray, leasing director at Harworth said: “This milestone unlocks huge potential at Chatterley Park, which will stand at the forefront of industrial and logistics development in the UK.

“By enabling 40-metre building height, we are unlocking unparalleled capacity for prospective occupiers, with the potential to support cutting-edge automation and advanced logistics solutions.”
