Parcel carrier APC Overnight has revealed that all of its LGV drivers have completed the Driver CPC.
Its drivers have all completed the compulsory 35 hours of training two years ahead of the September 2014 deadline.
Transport manager Surjit Ram said: “Road safety is imperative in any logistics firm, particularly one the size of APC, so to have our drivers qualified to the highest standard in their field gives us added confidence that every aspect of our service is top quality.”
“Our drivers play a vital part in our business, so to have them trained to the very highest standard ensures that we are providing the best possible service for our customers across the board,” he added.
Earlier this year APC added ten double-decker trailers to its fleet to handle a surge in customer demand. Last year it made a £4.42m pre-tax profit, a 30.4% rise on the previous years’ figures.
