New Vans - AO

AO Logistics said it was currently trialling electric vans across its fleet following an investment in CNG-powered tractor units earlier this year.

The online electricals retailer said once the trial ends it will review the data to decide how it intended to invest in low carbon technologies in the future.

In March the company took delivery of 10 CNG-powered Iveco S-Way NP trucks from Fraikin as part of another trial to reduce its carbon footprint.

The 4x2 tractor units were the first in AO’s 129-strong fleet to run on natural gas.

Meanwhile, AO has also acquired 130 new 3.5 tonne Mercedes vans, with the cabs designed with drivers’ feedback.

David Ashwell, MD of AO Logistics, said: “We currently have over 300,000 five-star reviews on Trustpilot, which really is testament to the amazing drivers and engineers who go above and beyond delivering brilliantly for our customers every day.

“These new vehicles are our way of thanking them for their outstanding service over the last two years and will hopefully make life on the road even more comfortable as well as easier for them.”
