Ambitious Bradford-based operator Advanced Supply Chain has launched a consultancy service offering logistics advice to SMEs.
The operator, which has predicted a turnover of £100m within five years, is targeting the new Consultancy Plus service at smaller businesses. The first company to benefit from the new service, Lancashire-based soft furnishings supplier J Rosenthal & Son, has already made improvements to operational management, staffing, strategic thinking and recruitment.
Mike Danby, chief executive at Advanced Supply Chain, said: “We decided to bring our new Consultancy Plus service to the market in order to provide SMEs with a cost effective strategic partnership. Our expertise lies in an area that many of these businesses struggle with - as whilst they’re effective at selling a product, they need to improve on their operations and logistics that get it to market effectively.”
The logistics company aims to provide a service that works in partnership with the customer to develop a solution that works within their skill set.
As a result of this service, an Advanced Supply Chain member of staff has been installed as a full time general manager at J Rosenthal & Son’s site in Lancashire.
“Consultancy Plus has been incredibly helpful. They highlighted operational inefficiencies we weren’t aware of and helped us to remove them effectively to enhance the service we offer,” said Harry Rosenthal, managing director at J Rosenthal & Son.
