Abacus Transport has achieved the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) silver accreditation for the ninth year running.

The Kings Langley-based logistics company has long been a FORS operator, originally achieving bronze in 2013 and it said it continued to value the benefits that the scheme brought.

It said it was committed to safety, sustainability and compliance and FORS reinforced this.

The Hazchem Network and Palletforce member specialises in London deliveries and it said FORS fitted in well with the already-high standards required to run a fleet of lorries in the Capital, particularly as it also covers central London.

Abacus MD Gina Bradshaw said: “We care about the safety of everyone on London’s roads – our own drivers and all other road users.

“FORS helps us to work to the highest standards and ensure that freight is delivered on time, efficiently and safely.

“The whole fleet – vans, rigids and artics - is kitted out with the latest technology to comply with the various London requirements.”
