Industry challenges and emerging trends for the year ahead will be hotly debated on this year’s Road Transport Expo (RTX) Knowledge Zone stage.
On Friday 30 June at 10am, a session called ‘State of the Industry 2023’ will provide insight into the business confidence of operators and their views on a range of key industry topics, from escalating operating costs through to fleet decarbonisation.
A lively panel will include MT editor Steve Hobson, Rod McKenzie, executive director of communications, RHA; Willie Paterson, CEO, Asset Alliance Group; and Tony Stapleton, head of fleet sales, Continental Tyre Group.
“This highly topical session has a fantastic line-up of panellists who will bring to life the key issues facing the road transport sector for the year ahead,” said Hayley Tayler, head of content at RTX.
The RTX panel discussion will be based around brand-new industry research commissioned by Commercial Motor, Motor Transport and Asset Alliance Group, which surveys senior executives and industry leaders across the logistics sector.
Now in its fifth year, the annual ‘Asset Alliance Industry Monitor’ is a must-read for all fleet operators and brings you a wealth of need-to-know data in one handy publication.
“Our annual Industry Monitor offers some fascinating insight into the current health of the road transport sector and the challenges that lie ahead,” said Willie Paterson, CEO at Asset Alliance Group.
“The pandemic is now firmly in our rearview mirror, but there are of course other economic issues facing the sector – and indeed the country as a whole,” he added.
“High fuel costs, high energy costs and ongoing supply issues mean we must all think carefully about efficiency and cost control, while keeping one eye on what lies ahead.”
Copies of the report will be free to visitors at RTX, so make sure to pick one up if you are visiting.
