A half century in business has been marked by HF Owen Transport & Storage with the delivery of five new DAF XF 6x2 tractor units.
One of the trucks has been wrapped in celebratory gold livery to mark the milestone and all have been supplied on a three-year deal by Hexagon Leasing.
Geraint Walker, HF Owen transport manager, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our 50th anniversary and wanted to mark the occasion with five new DAFs.
“We chose DAF because they seem to be very comfortable for the drivers which is crucial when out tramping all week around the country.
“They also perform very well in MPG against the competition.

“This is the first time we’ve partnered up with Hexagon Leasing and we chose them over some very stiff competition, but the deal was right for us.”
HF Owen was originally set up by Harry Fraser Owen in 1972, making brick and milk collections and deliveries.
Two years ago, Owen retired and the company was bought by North Wales logistics firm Delivery Solutions (Delsol) but has continued to trade under the HF Owen name.
Today, it offers haulage, warehousing and distribution services, operating a fleet of 12 vehicles with a workforce of 15, including Owen's daughter Helen as depot manager and son Harry jnr, a driver with the honour of receiving the gold truck.
