Former Tibbett & Britten finance and commercial director, and co-founder of private equity firm Keswick Enterprises, Geoff Gillo has joined the board at Pall-Ex as a non-executive director.
His appointment comes a month after Cris Stephenson became UK MD at the network; a move which saw former UK MD Adrian Russell become group MD.
Gillo said: “This industry thrives on innovation, outstanding service levels, efficiency and determination. These attributes are all embodied by Pall-Ex and its CEO, Hilary Devey.
“Not only has Pall-Ex become a UK freight powerhouse, but it continues to make waves throughout Europe, changing the face of logistics in countries across the continent. I look forward to working alongside a board that shares the same passion and enthusiasm for the industry that I do,” he added.
Gillo spent 12 years at Tibbett & Britten, from 1992 to 2004, where he was European finance and commercial director. Following its sale to Exel he co-founded logistics and supply-chain specialist private equity investor Keswick Enterprises with former Tibbett & Britten chairman John Harvey.
Russell said: “You only have to look at his achievements at Keswick Enterprises, working alongside industry veteran John Harvey, to see his value. He has helped the company diversify its logistics interests across the continent and is well placed to help Pall-Ex cement itself as the leading name in UK and European palletised freight.”
