Fortec

Fortec has revamped its leadership team after its former network director and general manager of operations left the business last year.

The network's new business unit director Craig Johnson joined Fortec last year after two years with Irish food company Greencore. He has also worked as a general manager at Eddie Stobart.

The network also has new general managers of operations and commercial, roles filled by Graeme Morris and Steve Wyton respectively.

Morris joins the business from Kuehne + Nagel, while Wyton has worked for the network for almost eight years as commercial manager for the Midlands.

The final new appointment sees Stuart White join the business, also from Kuehne + Nagel, as the UK and international hub manager at Fortec's Watford Gap site.

The network's former director Dave Spong departed last year, after joining the business in October 2014. At the time he replaced Marcus Fischer and Neil Hodgkinson, the men behind the potential new entry to the pallet network market, Principle Pallets.

Former general manager of operations Chris Dennigan also left the business last year.

Business unit director Johnson said: “We would like to thank both Chris and Dave for the work they have done for the network over the years and wish them well in their careers.”

He added: "Fortec Distribution is a forward-looking organisation and I am very pleased to be joining it at this important phase of its development.

"I look forward to building on its many strengths and expanding the business. We also have one of the strongest and most loyal member bases in the marketplace which is a tremendous asset and provides a strong foundation for future growth."
