DX Group has launched its third new depot this year with the launch of a new site in Dartford, Kent.
The company, which specialises in parcel freight, secure courier, two-man and logistics services, has signed a long-term lease for the 28,000sq ft depot located on a 1.2 acre site in Edisons Park, Dartford.
DX said the new depot will help the expansion of its express division, which specialises in secure, next-day document and parcel delivery, and its freight operations at DX Freight.
DX Express’s existing team of around 80 staff at Swanley will relocate to the new site, while DX Freight will expand its operations into the space vacated by DX Express at Swanley.
The depot will support capacity expansion in the South East of England and offer enhanced customer service, with DX expecting to expand both teams as volumes build.

The opening of the Dartford site is part of DX’s ongoing investment in its delivery network. Over 12 additional depots are planned over the next two years, as the company drives to increase its delivery capacity and service levels.
DX said it plans to invest between £20m and £25m in a major investment programme that will also drive improvements in parcel-handling equipment and IT infrastructure across the group.
Lloyd Dunn, chief executive officer at DX Group, said: “We are pleased to open this new DX Express depot in Dartford, our third of the year so far.
“We are committed to driving improvements across both of the Group’s divisions, and this new site will enable us to increase the capacity and service levels of both Express and Freight in the South East of England.
“Our investment in the business continues, with more than 12 further sites planned to be added to our network over the next two years.”
