Bullet Express has officially launched a major new warehouse this week with the help of Clare Bottle (centre), chief executive of the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA).

The new facility, which is located at Westway Park in Renfrew, close to Glasgow Airport and the M8, has 67,000sq ft of storage, substantial eaves height and storage space for 12,500 pallets.

Its launch follows rapid growth at Bullet Express, which employs around 150 staff and provides UK and European road freight services, worldwide air freight, sea freight, customs and storage solutions for its customers.

The new facility will see the business increase its storage and distribution capacity by 30% and has already created a number of new jobs with many new team-members employed from the local area.

John McKail, Bullet Express MD (pictured second right with joint chief executive David McCutcheon (second left), said: “We’re proud to be able to give Clare Bottle a tour of our new Bullet Express Westway Storage Centre in Renfrew, along with our other operating centres at Bothwell, Baillieston and London Road in Glasgow.

“The extra capacity provided by the new centre further establishes Bullet Express as one of the best connected logistics businesses in the UK and helps meet the growing demands from clients for access to even more storage space.

“With quick access to both the M8 and Glasgow Airport, the connectivity provided at Bullet Express Westway Storage Centre is second to none.

“We’re already storing for a number of our key customers, who value having access to 67,000 square feet of our state of the art storage, with its close connections to Glasgow airport and major transport routes.

“The introduction of Bullet Express Westway means we will continue to grow our business and provide even more businesses with quality logistics and storage spaces.”

Bottle added: “It was great to be taken by the Bullet Express team on a tour of their distribution and storage centres across Glasgow.

“Being part of the official opening of their new Bullet Express Westway storage centre showed just how vital these facilities have become to supply chains and businesses across the UK.

“I’d like to congratulate Bullet Express on their new logistics centre. I look forward to hearing more about their plans to grow the business, connect supply chains and support the growing demand for safe, secure and accessible storage and distribution.”
