Boughey Distribution, the food division at NWF Group, is making “progress as planned” as it looks to consolidate work for several customers customers at its Wardle, Greater Manchester, site.

In August NWF announced that Boughey would restructure its network, after reporting a 14.2% year-on-year drop in turnover to £36.4m, which would see services provided for customers at its Deeside depot consolidated into its site in Wardle.

This, it said, would see trunking reduced and the Deeside site now only used for overflow storage.

NWF chairman Mark Hudson said at its annual general meeting  in Cheshire today (26 September): “The movement of consolidating customers to the primary consolidation site at Wardle is progressing as planned and options for the future of the leased Deeside facility are being evaluated.

“Storage levels are a little higher than anticipated and out loads continue to be in line with the prior year.  Service levels have been maintained at 99.7%,” he added.

NWF’s own-account operations in Feeds and Fuels continue to trade in line with expectations.
