Warwickshire temperature-controlled transport firm Bedworth Haulage has been sold in a pre-pack deal, saving 21 jobs.
Administrators from Quantuma were appointed to the haulier on 25 January and a sale to C4 Safety in the midlands was negotiated shortly after.
Andrew Watling, partner at Quantuma, said: “The business was overcome by the weight of historic debt and a number of recent unprofitable contracts.
“We were able to achieve a sale to C4 Safety Ltd and save 21 jobs, with no redundancies being required.”
Bedworth Haulage was founded in 1970 and provided haulage services to the temperature controlled, pharmaceutical and safety and security sectors. It had an annual turnover of around £5m.
In 2017, it was given a two-week suspension for drivers’ hours shortcomings.
Bedworth director Robbie Thacker did not respond.
