AM Widdowson was a member of the Palletways network for only a year, Motortransport.co.uk has learnt.
The Leicester-based company joined Palletways in April 2015, with the pallet network’s UK MD Luis Zubialde stating at the time that he was looking “forward to utilising Widdowson’s experience to grow our business even further across the East Midlands region”.
Widdowson covered the LE postcodes in Leicestershire and Rutland for Palletways and received public backing from the pallet network ahead of the creditor’s meeting in 2015 that saw it enter into a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) last July.
However, the haulier left Palletways at the end of April this year.
A spokesman for the pallet network said: “AM Widdowson has decided to leave the Palletways network.
“We’ve taken immediate action so that our members in neighbouring regions carry out collections and deliveries in the LE postcode to ensure a seamless service Palletways customers.
“We’d like to thank AM Widdowson for their support to the network during their membership.”
More recently AM Widdowson stablemate Davis Haulage was also placed into a CVA.
