XPO Logistics has secured a multi-year contract renewal with brewer Carlsberg UK.
The 3PL will continue to run the logistics operation for brewery production of more than 400 million litres of Carlsberg beer per year, alongside warehousing and distribution services.
XPO Logistics operates three sites for Carlsberg in Northampton, receiving inbound raw materials and positioning them for the production lines.
Filled bottles, cans and kegs are then moved to storage areas where they undergo quality control before the packaged products are transferred to Carlsberg's Northampton DC for onward delivery to customers.
