- If you’d like to find out more about retrofit technology under development for HGVs, then head along to the Motor Transport Leeds Clean Air Zone event on 3 July.
You’ll be able to hear from the Energy Saving Trust about the Clean Vehicle Retrofit Accreditation Scheme.
This is an official certification scheme for manufacturers of retrofit emissions-reduction technology that will enable older vehicles to meet clean air zone compliance.
To date, retrofit systems approved under the scheme have predominantly focused on buses and taxis, however plans are under way for HGV technology to come into its scope in future.
At the Leeds roadshow, you’ll be able to take part in a dedicated retrofit workshop exploring options in the pipeline for HGVs, timescales to availability, and types of vehicles they are suited to.
Other workshops will include alternative fuel case studies, eco-driving and vehicle tours of the latest alternative fuel and Euro-6 HGVs, roadsweepers and vans.
The Leeds Clean Air Zone Roadshow is free to attend and takes place on the morning of 3 July at Elland Road Stadium, Leeds.
It will bring together senior officials from Leeds City Council, as well as clean vehicle specialists and local truck dealerships to help hauliers understand the requirements of the city’s proposed clean air zone.
We do hope to see you there, so why not register today!
