Online supermarket Weezy has become the latest business to partner with grid location experts what3words to help make deliveries to consumers quick and hassle-free.

Street addresses and postcodes do not always guide couriers to the specific location or correct entrance and Weezy said its agreement with what3words removes the need for phone calls asking for additional directions.

The innovative digital addressing system divides the world into a grid of three-metre squares, each with a unique what3words address.

Kristof Van Beveren, Weezy co-founder and CEO, said: “It’s convenience without compromise.

“Whether a hard-to-find home, a Lucozade to a tired rower, nappies to a mum on a bench, or even dog treats for that puppy on the green – you simply add in your what3words address on checkout and sit back while you wait for your Weezy delivery.”

Last year, online retailer AO.com said it was giving its drivers access to the what3words app so that customers could share their three-word location for deliveries.
