Ulyett Landscapes has taken delivery of four new 3.5-tonne Isuzu Grafter Greens following a successful year-long operation of the firm’s first such model.
The new Grafter Greens are replacing older vehicles on the East Midlands-based family firm’s 30-strong fleet.
They will be used on the operator’s national landscaping and ground maintenance contracts and expected to remain on the fleet for around 10 years.
“The first Isuzu Grafter we took last year was, in essence, a trial to see how it performed within our fleet,” said Mark Burton, MD at Ulyett Landscapes. “We were really impressed as it proved not only to be versatile in use, but it also gave us an excellent payload.
"In addition, we utilise the Isuzu for towing a trailer carrying either turf, soil or other equipment and once again the truck drives really well and effortlessly when towing."
All five of the Isuzu Grafter Green N35.125 4 x 2 rigids are fitted with dropside bodies and were supplied by local Isuzu Truck dealer t.i.m Commercials in Ilkeston.
Lee Barwick, fleet sales manager at Isuzu Truck UK, added. “Over the years, Ulyett Landscapes has developed its business to become the largest landscaping and ground maintenance company in the East Midlands, and it is pleasing to see that the Isuzu Grafter is already making a strong and lasting impression within this growing company.
“The pedigree and heritage of Isuzu trucks within the landscape industry is second to none as the product range is ideally suited to this industry, in terms of providing excellent payload and long-term reliability.”
