TNT UK has revealed business transformation specialist Marianne Culver as its new MD, replacing Alistair Cochrane who has left the business.
Cochrane (pictured below) left TNT in October last year after nearly three decades in various positions at the company, including senior management roles in the UK and Australia. He took up the role of MD in November 2010.
A spokesman for TNT UK said Cochrane left the company on 31 October to pursue further career opportunities. In the interim his responsibilities were covered by David Burton, MD Associates at TNT UK, who has now reverted back to his usual position.
Culver (left)joins from electronics distributor Premier Farnell, where she was chief global supply chain/supplier manager. TNT said she has more than 25 years of experience in business transformation and driving profitable growth.
“I’m delighted to be joining TNT at such a pivotal time. I’m looking forward to taking a service-led approach to driving profitable growth, as we firmly re-establish TNT as the unbeatable B2B express service in the UK,” said Culver.
The loss of a major fashion contract contributed to a £6.4m pre-tax loss in 2013, its most recent accounts show. The operator has also undertaken restructuring of its operations and sales teams in recent years.
