A £150m logistics park at Appleby Lodge in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, has been given the green light.
The development, which will be situated alongside the Park Farm Industrial Estate, is expected to create over 2m ft² of warehousing and offices.
Plans were submitted to the Borough Council of Wellingborough in April, who granted planning permission earlier this month.
A spokeswoman for developers Prologis declined to say whether there had been any interest from operators or retailers who may wish to occupy the site.
Prologis vice president James Wright said: “There is a shortage of Grade A logistics accommodation in the East Midlands, so it is very good news that the council has granted planning permission for Appleby Lodge.”
Prologis estimates that there will be an additional 2,000 LGV movements into and out of the site once it is operational.
