Suttons Group has grown its international division after buying logistics provider VTG’s overseas tank containers business, in a joint venture with Mission Line in Brazil.
Suttons said the acquisition would increase its capability to serve its customers, as well as extend its global reach.
It said it would take full control of the ISO tank containers division over the coming months and in the interim period, Hamburg-headquartered VTG will continue to manage the containers, personnel and customer contracts.

John Sutton, Suttons Group CEO, said: “This acquisition will strengthen our geographical scale and give us a strong presence in new markets to better serve our customers, as well as provide greater opportunities for all staff.
“It will firmly establish our business amongst the top 10 global tank container operators and will be integrated into our existing, robust management structure.”
