HGV drivers working for Heathrow aviation catering firm DO & CO have suspended strike action while they vote on a 14% pay deal.
Around 100 drivers were supposed to have gone out on strike today (4 March) and 5 March in a dispute over pay and employment conditions, but this is now on hold while they consider the offer.
Trade union Unite said the ballot is expected to be completed by Friday 11 March.
It said the latest offer would mean drivers who joined DO & CO as part of the TUPE transfer process from Gate Gourmet and DHL Supply Service Chain in summer 2020, would receive a 6% increase on their basic pay and the base salary for other drivers would rise to £33,000 a year.
