Haydock, Merseyside-based Simon Widdowson has entered administration.

Gareth Rusling and Claire Dowson are handling the process for insolvency practioner Begbies Traynor, which according to newly published records at Companies House was appointed on the 21 December.

The directors of the company are Simon and Derek Widdowson. The business held an O-licence authorising 20 vehicles and 25 trailers.

MT understands the fleet contains a number of Scania trucks.

Founded in 2002, the family based firm was set up by Simon “due to a passion of trucking passed down by Simon’s father, Derek”.

The company’s Linkedin describes having 30,000sq ft of ambient storage with the capability to offer “start-to-finish services; by collecting containers from all major North-West ports, container de-vanning, storage and onward delivery”.

Calls to the business were unanswered. Begbies Traynor was approached for comment.
