Shakespeare Transport is leaving Palletways to join rival network Palletforce.
The Aylesford, Kent-based firm replaces Palletforce member Firmin, which recently quit Palletforce for Pallet-Track.
Shakespeare Transport, which was bought in 2015 by Pallet-Track member Matthew Kibble Transport, will cover the Kent area for Palletforce.
Matthew Kibble, owner of Shakespeare Transport, said he had chosen Palletforce for his acquisition because the network had complementary objectives and had invested significantly in infrastructure and IT.
He said: “We will see a reduction of pallets coming into Kent but that means a more balanced flow of inboard and outboard freight.”
Palletforce CEO Michael Conroy said: “We are delighted that it has chosen to come on board. I have no doubt that they will prove valuable additions to the Palletforce network.”
Shakespeare has been replaced at Palletways by Salvatori, which has quit The Pallet Network to join Palletways.
