RHA chief executive Richard Burnett is the latest speaker to be announced at the Microlise Transport Conference taking place on the 20 May at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

Burnett will discuss 'the post-Brexit landscape', clean air zones, investment in road infrastructure and the skills shortage and need for diversity within the transport sector.

He will also update the industry on the continuing work the RHA is doing to tackle the issues facing operators.

“The Microlise Transport Conference is the key date in the industry calendar for discussing the key topics and learnings about the future of our industry,” said Burnett. “We’re pleased to be participating in this event to engage with delegates on a number of important issues and outline how the RHA is engaging with government to represent the needs of road transport operators."

Added Nadeem Raza, Microlise chief executive: “We have worked closely with the RHA for a number of years and value their input across our conference programme.

“Both organisations share similar values and a dedication to improve an industry that is vital to the UK economy. The Microlise Transport Conference sets out to empower delegates with new knowledge through access to thought leaders. The programme this year will continue to do just that. We look forward to Richard’s update which will align with our conference theme of innovation, technology and the future of the industry.”

Hosted by journalist, lobbyist and presenter Quentin Willson, the conference agenda will feature a range of industry leaders and subject matter experts, covering both the issues of today and the trends that will shape the future of road transport. The conference will also give delegates direct access to four workshop programmes and an extensive exhibition area.
