Leicester-based Premier Logistics has bought five New Actros units with BigSpace cabs from its local branch of Midlands Mercedes-Benz dealer Mertrux.
The additions are to keep pace with business growth and will take its fleet size close to 90 trucks.
Last month, the company added a second southern site to its expanding operation after buying the business and assets of collapsed haulier Cobley Transport (Reading).
The deal for the Thatcham depot of Cobley Transport (Reading) provided Premier with a second southern staging post with access to the M4 (and M40 corridor).
It comes after the purchase in July of failed Bill Chippington Haulage’s St Albans site.
