Croydon-based PF Whitehead Transport Services increased profits by 2.6% last year on revenues that remained broadly static.

The storage, distribution and haulage contractor reported a pre-tax profit of £712,229 for the year ending 31 July 2019, up from £694,030 the year before.

Turnover was £8.23m, compared with £8.28m in 2018.

The 50-year-old business operates more than 50 vehicles out of three depots in Croydon and Chatham and holds an international licence for transport throughout Europe.

It has over 500,000 sq ft of warehousing and offers storage to customers in print, fashion, retail distribution and home improvement.

The company did not respond to comment.
