Wolverhampton-based pallet network Pallet-Track has said its new international service in partnership with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics UK will begin operating next Monday (13 April).
The partnership, which the two firms announced a year ago, will deliver to 56 countries via a combination of road, sea and air.
Pallet-Track founder and MD Nigel Parkes said the new service, which is beginning several months earlier than predicted at the time of the original announcement, and replaces a previous arrangement with freight forwarder Logfret International Logistics, would be “win-win” for both partners.
“The partnership will significantly increase our volumes and give us multimodal access to the key markets of Europe; and it has already granted Hellmann the UK reach it required,” he said.
Jodi Raphael, general manager of road Freight for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics UK, added: “Since we signed the agreement, our partnership [Hellmann began covering several London postcodes for the network straightaway] has worked seamlessly, allowing Hellmann to capitalise on growing its presence in the UK.
"Now we are working on generating synergies for our two businesses in Europe and we’re confident the relationship with Pallet-Track will only enhance our service levels.”
